Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The Bombers had a rough go Tuesday as the Humboldt Broncos shut them out 5-0. Traveling to Humboldt after the SJHL Showcase, the Bombers knew they were in for a challenging game, as the Broncos are always tough opponents. Heading into the game, however, Bombers head coach and GM Mike Reagan said the team was feeling fairly confident and looking forward to the challenge. It was a different story as the game got started as the Broncos held a 1-0 lead over the Bombers for the first period. With PJ Musico in net, the Bombers were able to keep the home team to one goal in the first, but it didn't last long as Humboldt was leading 3-0 at the end of the second. The third period saw two more goals from the Broncos, one on the power play. With five goals against, Musico made his way to the bench as Randy Graham finished the rest of the game. Opportunities With five power play opportunities each, the Broncos capitalized on one, but the visiting Bombers were unable to get one past Humboldt netminder Andrew Bodnarchuk. In front of nearly 800 spectators, the Broncos earned their third win of the season over the Bombers. With five games against the Broncos to date, the Bombers earned the previous two wins. Leaving Humboldt, the Bombers will now prepare for the Estevan Bruins this weekend. The Whitney Forum will house the Bruins tomorrow night and Sunday afternoon with the Maroon and White striving for four points.
