The Humboldt Broncos have traded 1986 born forward Jared Hough to the AJHL's Drumheller Dragons for future considerations. Hough cleared waivers at noon on Thursday after playing five games for the Broncos and compiling one assist. Hough was picked up by Humboldt from Drayton Valley on December 1st. The Broncos have also announced the acquisition of 1986 born forward Spencer King from the Fort Saskatchewan Traders via a three way deal that sees 1986 born forward Kris McCarthy go to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. To get King, the Broncos gave up a bonafide enforcer who had racked up 121 penalty minutes in 30 games. He also had 13 points. What the Broncos lose in size, they hope to gain in energy. King is a 5-6 150 pound fireball that had two goals and four assists in 26 games in the AJHL this season. He also had 191 penalty minutes. "Spencer is a player we hope will come in and ruffle the feathers of the opposition a little bit. We needed to shake things up and I think Spencer will bring us the energy we need that might be a little contagious," said Humboldt Coach/GM Dean Brockman. cquired 1986 born forward Luke Boyer from the AJHL's Canmore Eagles for 1987 born forward/defenseman Brad Harding. Boyer had four goals and five assists in 22 games with the Eagles this season and also compiled 46 penalty minutes. "He gives us a bigger body and he's looking for more ice time. Ice time is something we can provide," said Klipper Head Coach Kevin Edgerton.
