The Humboldt Broncos and Kindersley are tied for first place in the SJHL as teams break for Christmas.
The last game before the holidays was played Dec. 21 as the Flin Flon Bombers dropped 5-2 to Kindersley.
The Klippers and Broncos sit with 48 points as they gear up for the 2014 portion of the season.
The two teams’ 48 points leaves them three points above the Yorkton Terriers with 45 points and four points above the Melville Millionaires with 44 points.
A gap appears in the standings as the Battlefords North Stars are ranked next with 38 points.
With a few less points, the Estevan Bruins sit with 35 points.
Nipawin’s 33 points leaves them in charge of the Sherwood Division standings – as Flin Flon is closely behind with 32 points.
A close conference sees the Ice Wolves with 31 points and the Mustangs with 30.
The Notre Dame Hounds earn 11th place with 29 points while the Weyburn Red Wings claim the basement suite with 28 points – 20 points behind the leading Broncos and Klippers.
Games will resume Monday in the SJHL, however the Bombers are not back on the ice for a game until Jan. 4 when they welcome the Hounds.
