The Humboldt Broncos forced game six in the ANAVET Cup series by blasting the Portage Terriers 12-2 on Thursday night at the EPA. The Terriers led the series 3-2 and hosted game six on Saturday. If necessary, game seven was to be played yesterday. The Broncos came roaring out of the blocks Thursday as they blew up a 6-1 lead after twenty minutes. For the first time in the series, Humboldt's best players stepped up to be their best players as Brady Wacker scored three goals and two assists. Scott Schroeder collected two goals and two assists, while Nick Kalnicki, Shawn Hunter, and Matthew Kirzinger all also scored two goals apiece. Tory Allan got back into the line-up and had one goal and one assist. The Broncos outshot Portage 39-15 and scored five powerplay goals. Tyler Moore had both Terrier goals.
