The Border Group Kub Kar Races was held at the Legion on March 21, 2005. Our wonderful sponsor this year was Northland Ford Ltd. Weigh in and registration was at 6:30 p.m., with racing beginning at 6:45 p.m. While the Cubs where having their cars weighed, the Beaver Colony ran their Beaver Buggies down the track. Along with the regular race, skills tests were also held. These consisted of a distance skill (longest distance car can travel before leaving marked area), shuffle skill and boulder skills where points are awarded for the car stopping in a designated area. Our judges this year from the Legion (Cubs sponsor) were Andy Stewart and Jack Rigby - job well done! The winner of the Skills Tests was Luke Holubec (winning a compass for this). Winners of the race are as follows: 1st place - Luke Holubec 2nd place - Eithan Anderson 3rd place - Garrison Aune Brent Grocholski presented the awards.
