The Flin Flon Bombers continued their inconsistent play this week, shutting out the Nipawin Hawks on Tuesday before being blasted 7-2 by the Melfort Mustangs on Wednesday. Flin Flon allowed five unanswered goals in Melfort before Bradey Fidierchuk and Nick Colton were finally able to light up Mustangs' lamp. The loss gave the Bombers a 14-23-0-0 record, good for 28 points on the season. More in-depth statistics from the game were unavailable at press time. It was a different story on Tuesday when the Maroon and White hosted the Hawks before 1,004 Bomber faithful at the Whitney Forum. In that game, Flin Flon took the lead and never looked back. Mackenzie Groenewegen, Tommy Castonguay, and Dennis Kubat scored a goal apiece while Calvin Bartel earned the shutout.
