The Flin Flon Bombers have forced a seventh and deciding game in their quarter-final series after a commanding win over the Notre Dame Hounds on Sunday evening.

In what was a do-or-die game for Flin Flon, the Bombers downed the Hounds 7-1 before an elated Whitney Forum crowd.

Brett Boehm had a pair of goals and Simon Hofley was strong between the pipes after getting the start over Adam Beukeboom as Flin Flon continued its game of musical chairs in net.

The Bombers set the tone early, ending the first period with a 3-0 lead on the strength of goals from Brett Kitt (Alex Smith, Mason Etter), Joel Kocur (unassisted) and Boehm (Chris Rauckman).

Two more unanswered Flin Flon goals followed in the second period thanks to Danys Chartrand (Curtis Roach, Smith) and Boehm (Deal Allison). Finally Notre Dame managed its lone goal, which came from Cory Anderson (Dion Antisin, Gavin Apperson) at 15:06 of the middle frame.

Austin Calladine (Kocur, Tyler Bell) put Flin Flon on the board once more at the 2:00 mark of the third period. Another goal followed from Rauckman (unassisted).

The win sent the announced crowd of 724 fans home confident in their team's chances in what has been the epitome of a back-and-forth series.
