The Flin Flon Bombers got back to winning ways with a 5-2 victory over the Melville Millionaires.

Melville started the scoring with two first period goals from Peter Michalides and Ethan Kopyczyn. However, the Bombers took over the game afterward, scoring five unanswered goals in the next 40 minutes.

Caleb Moretz got the Bombers on the board midway through the second period, with Daylan Marchi tying things up early in the third period.

The Marchi goal lit a fire under the Bomber offense, which added two more goals in the next two minutes. Dawson McKenzie added his first SJHL goal 50 seconds after Marchi scored. McKenzie's goal would turn out to be the game winner.

Chrystopher Collin added a little insurance after that with a breakaway goal, easily beating Mils goalie Colby Entz. The 18-year-old Collin now has seven goals in six SJHL games, good enough for third in league goal scoring and the league lead in rookie scoring.

Ethan Daniels added an empty-netter to seal the win.

Brenden Newton made 20 saves for the win in the Flin Flon net. Entz took the loss for Melville, despite making 35 stops.

Bomber head coach and GM Mike Reagan was not behind the bench for the game. Assistant coaches Garry Childerhose and Chris Bortis captained the ship during the win.

The Bombers will play another home game against Melville Saturday night. The Bombers will play October 6 and 7 at home against the Kindersley Klippers before embarking on a six-game road trip.
