Two strong efforts by the Flin Flon Bomber rookies have the team with one win and one shootout loss heading into tonight’s exhibition game against the OCN Blizzard.
The young guns earned a 5-3 win over the Napawin Hawks on Monday before falling 6-5 to the Blizzard on Wednesday.
“It was a solid effort,” said head coach Mike Reagan of Wednesday’s game against their MJHL rivals. “We didn’t get the big save when we needed it. Guys played hard and we’re not disappointed at all in the effort. Preseason is to find out your strengths and weakness. We are definitely doing that.”
Tonight’s home game will be the first chance for some of Flin Flon’s returning veterans to get into the lineup.
On Sunday, the Bombers head to Swan River for a game against the Stampeders.
