The Flin Flon Bombers have traded imposing winger Michael Knaub to the MJHL’s Portage Terriers in exchange for future considerations and a player development fee.
In 16 games with the Bombers this season, Knaub, 20, had two points (1G, 1A) and 53 penalty minutes.
“We feel that Mike needs a change of scenery," Bombers head coach and general manager Mike Reagan said in a press release. “We also felt that as a 20-year-old, he needed to contribute more offensively.”
The future considerations coming to Flin Flon cancel out the futures the Bombers owed the Terriers as part of the trade that brought goaltender Zac Robidoux to Flin Flon.
At 6-ft 5-in and 225 lbs, Knaub is known around the league for his size. He was in his second season with the Bombers, having garnered 19 points (8A, 11A) in 50 games last season to go along with 182 penalty minutes.
The Reminder will have more on the trade in our Friday print edition. See Wednesday's print edition for a look at how the team handles being on the road, and much more.
