The Flin Flon Bombers' main camp is looking strong so far as fresh faces compete for a roster spot. Head coach and GM Mike Reagan has taken a seat in the stands at the Whitney Forum, along with fellow coaches and staff, to watch the players. 'I'm really excited,' Reagan said while watching a scrimmage Wednesday night. 'We've got good, young guys.' The organization recently made another trade, but due to paper work not being completed as of press time yesterday, names were not released. Nonetheless, Reagan says the returning players mixed with the new players at the camp indicate a good season. 'We feel we've brought in a veteran presence that's going to help us,' said the bench boss. In years past the Bombers have looked to develop younger teams, but this year Reagan is placing more of an emphasis on veterans. 'We're happy with our young guys, but we need experience to win,' he said. With that said, the Bombers will welcome back players like Dillon McCombie and Cam Blair, who have both played for the Bombers for the past four seasons. 'We've got older guys with experience and this is what we wanted them for,' Reagan said. Flin Flonner McCombie will has one year remaining at the junior level after this season _ as he came to the Bombers at the age of 15. Tyson Empey is another player the Maroon and White will have for another season _ which has Reagan excited for the upcoming season. The club has made a few trades this off-season as the team looks to go the distance this year. The Bombers recently welcomed Justin Rasmussen from the Summerside Western Capitals, but fans won't be seeing him at camp. The Georgetown, Ont., native won't be in Flin Flon until next week. The newly added centre should be in town just in time for the exhibition season. The Bombers are in the middle of their main camp now and will continue over the weekend. The annual Maroon and White game will be held Sunday afternoon at the Whitney Forum.
