The Flin Flon Bombers are now on a four-game winning streak after blowing out the Yorkton Terriers.

Flin Flon took over in the second half of the game, scoring eight straight goals to grab an 8-2 win.

Yorkton struck first with two fast goals in the first period, both coming on similar plays. Both Cody Bruchkowski and Dino Antoniadis scored on breakaways after Bomber turnovers, with each scoring just eighteen seconds apart. Yorkton, currently sitting in second-last in the SJHL standings, led 2-0 after the first period.

The wheels fell off for the Terriers shortly after the midway point of the game, with Donavan Houle-Villeneuve scoring after a flurry of activity in front of Yorkton goalie Joe Marcouiller. Daylan Marchi got credit for the game-tying goal after a puck bounced off a Terrier defender and past Marcouiller. 2-2 was the score after forty minutes.

Starting in the first minute of the third, the Bombers went full steam ahead. Chrystopher Collin fired in a one-timer goal 48 seconds in to give the Bombers the lead.

Tensions boiled over not long afterward, with Bomber defenseman Calvon Boots and Yorkton's Mason Mullaney having a fight and getting an early trip to the showers. Seconds later, Yorkton's Cole Keenleyside checked Bomber captain Ben Lanfermann into the boards from behind, earning himself 19 minutes in penalties and a game misconduct on one play.

The Bombers, now with a nine minute power play, added two more goals courtesy of Collin and Isaac Jackson. Once the penalties expired, Nate Hooper, Jackson and Jordan Funk all added goals for Flin Flon, giving the Bombers a 8-2 victory.

Brenden Newton snagged a win with 27 saves, while Marcouiller made 56 saves on a difficult night for a porous Yorkton defense. The Terriers have given up a total of 185 goals against this season, the highest total in the league.

Flin Flon has now won their last four games, dating back before the holiday break. The Bombers now sit in ninth overall in the 12-team SJHL with 30 points.

The Bombers will try to extend the streak against Yorkton in a rematch game Saturday night.
