For the first time this season, the Flin Flon Bombers have cracked the list of Canada's top 20 junior A clubs.

The Bombers made it onto the CJHL’s national top 20 rankings as of Oct. 18, sitting 20th in the country. Only two SJHL teams made the most recent list - the Bombers and the Melfort Mustangs, who sit 16th.

The top team in the country, as of Oct. 18, is the OJHL’s Trenton Golden Hawks, who are undefeated seven games into their season. Four of the country's top five teams, according to the most recent rankings, are in Ontario-based leagues - the sole exception is the AJHL's Brooks Bandits, who sit third.

The Bombers are, as of Oct. 18, on a five-game winning streak and have a 9-3 record on the season, sitting second in the league's point standings with 18 points. Only Melfort, with 19 points, has played better so far this SJHL season.

One hundred and sixteen junior A teams play as part of the CJHL's nine member leagues.
