The SJHL Source Embroidery Power Rankings for the week ended Jan. 26:

1. Kindersley Klippers: Winners in nine of their last 10 and 19 points of a possible 20 during that stretch.

2. Melfort Mustangs: Finally a regulation time loss this past week. Their first since Nov. 25.

3. Flin Flon Bombers: Wasn’t pretty on Saturday night against Yorkton, but they are on an 8-1-and-1 run.

4. Nipawin Hawks: Playing decently well, but the Sherwood is a brutal division and even one loss can mean lost ground on two teams.

5. Notre Dame Hounds: Saturday’s loss in Melville, likely, is the difference from being third or fifth.

6. Battlefords North Stars: Recently had a five game streak snapped. They’ll need a couple more of those to get out of the Survivor Series seeding.

7. Melville Millionaires: Mils in training camp mode after so many changes on Jan. 10. Early returns have fans, cautiously, optimistic.

8. Weyburn Red Wings: Two points from being a 3 seed, otherwise a Survivor Series participant.

9. Estevan Bruins: Eight of their last eleven games will come against teams that the Bruins stack up well with.

10. Humboldt Broncos: They’ve now dropped four in a row after looking like they’d turned a corner.

11. La Ronge Ice Wolves: Just one win in their last ten, but only two points behind Broncos for a playoff spot.

12. Yorkton Terriers: Just four points behind Humboldt, but it feels like it’s more than that. Fifteen goals allowed on the weekend in Flin Flon.

Who’s hot?

Kris Spriggs, Nipawin (6-5-8-13 as of Jan. 26): Incredibly dangerous during recent hot streak.

Garrett Dunlop, Nipawin (6-4-8-12 as of Jan. 26): Looks to be laying claim to the Rookie Of The Year Award with his second half performance.

Chris Rauckman, Flin Flon (8-9-4-13 as of Jan. 26): Revitalized since coming back after Christmas.

Brett Boehm, Flin Flon (8-2-11-13 as of Jan. 26): The goals aren’t coming yet, but tough to criticize the production.

Matthew Kenney, Humboldt (7-4-5-9 as of Jan. 26): Has become a very reliable scoring option for the Broncos.

Brandon Switzer, Flin Flon (6-4-5-9 as of Jan. 26): Third Bomber on this list.  Yes, they are scoring at a good clip again.

Tyson Predinchuk, Melville (3-4-2-6 as of Jan. 26): Smooth transition back from the WHL.

Trevor Martin, Melville (3-1-1, 1.18, .957, 1SO as of Jan. 26): Hounds got two by him on Saturday night.  That’s a bad game for Martin.

Evan Weninger, Kindersley (5-0, 1.77, .949, 1SO as of Jan. 26): Has he been the best SJHL goalie this season?

Spencer Tremblay, Battlefords (4-1, 1.90, .940, 1SO as of Jan. 26): Looks to be in playoff form.

Marc Dubeau, Kindersley (17-9-14-23 as of Jan. 26): He will be on this list until someone holds him off the scoresheet.
