Kelly Carrington Staff Writer After a convincing 4-1 win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves Tuesday night, the Flin Flon Bombers improved on a perfect home record that now stands at 13-0-0-0. The Whitney Forum has brought out the best in the Bombers this season as they have knocked down 10 teams, some of them twice. Flin Flon goaltenders Devin Buffalo and Brandon Wildung have been veritable walls for the Maroon and White. In the 13 games on home ice, the Bombers have been scored on 21 times, the most being four goals in one game. Tuesday night, as the Bombers welcomed the Ice Wolves, the home team was up 2-0 by the end of the first period. The majority of the first period was scoreless as Brett Boehm broke Myles Hovdebo's goose egg at 17:25. Brett Penner and Josh Roach earned assists. See 'Cam...' on pg. 12 Continued from pg. 5 The Bombers continued the pace to make it 2-0 at 19:31 on a power play as Cam Blair managed the perfect shot, with help from Dillan McCombie and Boehm. Flin Flon stayed on top in the second period as it remained a 2-0 game over the Ice Wolves. In the third, La Ronge picked up their socks and scored, but it would be their lone goal of the night. Brennen Ritchie got one past Wildung at 4:27 on a power play. Flin Flon had two more goals in them for the third period as Penner and McCombie made it 4-1. Penner found the back of the net at 4:56 with help from Dylan Balaski and Boehm. La Ronge pulled their goalie in an effort to add another goal, but McCombie made the easy shot into the empty net. Tuesday's win was big for the Bombers has they remained on top of the Bauer Conference and the SJHL, and kept their home record spotless. Tonight the Bombers host the Nipawin Hawks and look to keep their perfect record at the Whitney alive. Top dogs Flin Flon remained the top dogs of the SJHL after Tuesday's win as they sat with 38 points _ seven above the second-place team. A three-way tie went to the Bauer Conference's Humboldt Broncos and Sherwood Conference's Yorkton Terriers and Notre Dame Hounds with 31 points apiece. The Weyburn Red Wings was at the bottom of the pack with 10 points coming from a 5-16-0-0 record. Flin Flon held a 19-5-0-0 record. As of Wednesday morning, the Hawks sat in third place in the Bauer Conference with 26 points. League-wide, they were one spot below the Melville Millionaires of the Sherwood Conference, who had 29 points.
