Bombers' point streak ends in Melfort

The Flin Flon Bombers are coming home empty-handed after a 5-4 road loss to the Melfort Mustangs. Jason Lavallee and Greyson Reitmeier scored three points for the Bombers in the loss, while Mustangs Dakota Boutin and Wyatt Hinson scored twice.

The Flin Flon Bombers are coming home empty-handed after a 5-4 road loss to the Melfort Mustangs.

Jason Lavallee and Greyson Reitmeier scored three points for the Bombers in the loss, while Mustangs Dakota Boutin and Wyatt Hinson scored twice. Hinson scored the game winning goal for Melfort with less than five minutes left to play.

Brenden Newton made 25 of 30 saves, while his Melfort counterpart Evan Plotnik made 35 saves on 39 shots.

The loss snaps Flin Flon's five game point streak, and takes them to 9-7-2-2 on the season.

The Bombers play again at the Whitney Forum Nov. 12 against the Notre Dame Hounds.
