Four games in two weeks against a pair of bitter rivals - the Flin Flon Bombers' preseason schedule is set.

The team announced their exhibition plans August 5, aiming to hold four games in total against other northern junior A clubs. The team will begin the exhibition season Sept. 5, with a home game against the La Ronge Ice Wolves. After a five-day break from game action, the Bombers will then head down Highway 10 Sept. 10 for an away date with the MJHL's OCN Blizzard in a return of the Battle of Northern Manitoba.

For the last two games, the Bombers and their rivals will reciprocate, playing a return date against the Blizzard Sept. 11 at the Whitney Forum before playing their fourth and final game in La Ronge Sept. 17.

The Bombers are currently set to open their season Sept. 24 on the road against the Melfort Mustangs, with the team's home opener scheduled for Sept. 25, also against the Mustangs. The Bombers, along with the other 11 SJHL teams, are anticipating to play a full 58-game schedule, including 10 games against the Ice Wolves, eight each against the Mustangs and Nipawin Hawks, and four games each against the remaining eight teams.

In the meantime, the Bombers are currently planning to host their annual general meeting August 16 at the Creighton Community Centre, starting at 7 p.m. As the meeting will be in Saskatchewan,
