The Flin Flon Bombers found themselves in second place in the Sherwood Division _ up from fourth _ after a successful start to their first southern swing of the season. The Bombers walked away with two solid wins last week and moved up to second, from last, place in their conference. The Maroon and White earned a 7-4 win over the Millionaires and a 3-1 win over the Bruins. The Bombers headed into two games over the weekend, after The Reminder went to press, to end their four-game road series in Weyburn and Notre Dame. The Bombers sat four points behind the Division leading La Ronge Ice Wolves with 10 points prior to last Thursday's games. Flin Flon found themselves above the Melfort Mustangs by two points and the Nipawin Hawks who had seven points. The Ice Wolves led the SJHL with the Bombers in fourth place _ behind the Kindersley Klippers with 13 points and the Yorkton Terriers and Melville Millionaires both with 12 points. The Notre Dame Hounds brought up the bottom of the pack with four points in the Kramer Division. Following this weekend's road action the Bombers look to host the Estevan Bruins and the Notre Dame Hounds at the Whitney Forum. On home ice, the Bombers sit with a 3-2-0-0 record as they look to move to .500 this Thursday with a win against the Estevan Bruins.
