The Flin Flon Bombers and Nipawin Hawks are gearing up for their first-round playoff series. Friday and Saturday will mark the opening of the series, in Nipawin, as the Hawks welcome the Bombers. Games 3 and 4 will be played at the Whitney Forum on Monday and Tuesday. If needed, the Bombers and Hawks are back in Nipawin next Thursday for Game 5. Again, Game 6 will be played, if needed, in Flin Flon next Saturday, March 16, with the final game on Tuesday in Nipawin. In the survivor series, the Melfort Mustangs were up 3-0 over the Battlefords North Stars as of yesterday morning. The teams were in Melfort last night for Game 4 _ what could be the teams' final game before Melfort moved on. In the Sherwood Conference, the Estevan Bruins led the Kindersley Klippers 2-0 as of Tuesday morning. Last night marked the teams' third game of the series.
