The Flin Flon Bombers will be in Rosetown tonight to play the Kindersley Klippers in the first of three games in three nights on the road. They will be in Kindersley on Saturday night for their fourth consecutive meeting with the Klippers, before finishing the trip in Melfort with an all-important game against the Mustangs on Sunday. Kindersley was in Flin Flon for two games last weekend, stealing the first game 4-3, but the Bombers rebounded on Saturday with a 3-2 overtime victory on a goal from Jeff LaPointe. The Klippers have played twice since losing to Flin Flon. They defeated the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Sunday 5-2, and beat the Battlefords' North Stars 5-3 on Wednesday night. Even though the Bombers out played the Klippers both nights on the weekend, they can't afford to take any team lightly on any night, as they are still six points out of the final play off spot in the Dodge Conference. "Given the success we had against the Klippers last weekend, we're going into Kindersley looking for a split," said coach Ryan Hoffman. "Our ultimate goal on the road is to be playing .500 hockey. To get a split in Kindersley would be huge for us. Then we have a real big battle against Melfort on Sunday. We'd like three or four points out of this road trip. Given our play in these last two games at home, I think that is achievable." Getting any points out of Kindersley will not be an easy task. The Klippers have only lost three games at home this season, while the Bombers are the only team in the SJHL not to record a win on the road so far this year. At home, Kindersley is nearly unbeatable on the power-play. They kill penalties with 91.9% efficiency. Flin Flon's power-play is second best in the SJHL at 20% overall, and the Bombers have spent the majority of the week fine tuning their attack with the man advantage. "Our power got back on track this past weekend, but we wanted to add to it and make sure it was sharp," said Hoffman. "As you could see in the third period and overtime on Saturday, special teams win and lose games for you. We want to make sure our special teams are sharp, because last time we were in Kindersley they weren't very good." Next weekend the Bombers will play a home and home series with the La Ronge Ice Wolves, with the game at the Whitney Forum on December 20.
