The Flin Flon Bombers, in conjuction with the City of Flin Flon, have created a charitable donation program.Ê This allows members of the community, alumni and fans of the Bombers everywhere, the ability to donate funds that will continue the legacy and, at the same time receive a tax deduction equal to their donation. Presently our team and community are thriving.Ê Fan support remains high and the calibre of hockey hasnÕt been this entertaining in years.Ê The last few seasons leading up to now have been extremely tough for the Club both on and off the ice. A large debt in excess of $100,000 was incured over this period-a debt load we are presently forced to carry long term.Ê This debt acts as a millstone around out teamsÕ neck and given the ClubÕs mandate to operate on a break-even basis, will remain so for many years to come unless we coose to do something about it. Through the charitable donation program, we are asking for your contribution to pay down this debt. For each donation if $100 or more, you will recieve a tax deductible receipt from the City. To acknowledge those who donate and also to track progress towards our goal, a large Bomber Burst will be created out of 1,000 puzzle pieces. For every $100 donation, a puzzle piece will be placed in the Burst in that fanÕs name.Ê Once the campaign is completed, the Bomber Burst will be put on display in the Whitney Forum. The target is to recieve donations totalling a minimum of $100,000 and ideally exceed that amount with the spill-over going into a war chest for future yearsÕ operations. Our goal is to become financially secure so we can concentrate on the task at hand, which is to provide entertaing and competitive hockey that ultimately brings the cup home to Flin Flon. Please support your team in its war on our debt. Cheques may be payable to The City of Flin Flon c/o The Flin Flon Bombers. For more information you can call Dawn Cardell at the Bomber Office at 687-4404.
