Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The Flin Flon Bombers dropped the ball on the road this past week as they earned one point in the SJHL Showcase and then lost 5-0 in Humboldt Tuesday night. Leaving home with a seven-game winning streak, the Bombers were expected to gain more than a single point in their last three games. Heading into Humboldt, the Bombers knew they were going to have a tough game, but according to head coach and GM Mike Reagan, the team was feeling fairly confident. The Bombers and Broncos have faced each other five times this season. The Bombers are 2-3 against the former RBC champions. This weekend, the Maroon and White have home-ice advantage as the Estevan Bruins are in town for a double-header. Flin Flon has been off since Wednesday, giving them time to prepare for tomorrow's match-up. Estevan, meanwhile, took on the La Ronge Ice Wolves last night and will face them again tonight. Four straight road games for the Bruins might help the Bombers this weekend. As of Wednesday morning, the Bombers sat in fourth place in the Bauer Conference with 34 points, while the Bruins took up second place in the Sherwood Conference with the same amount of points. While Flin Flon has 34 points, the Bruins have an opportunity to gain a maximum of four points before they hit the Whitney Forum ice. With a good home record, the Bombers are looking to clean up with two more wins this weekend. As a reminder, Sunday's game has the puck drop at 2 p.m.
