Three Bombers were honoured this week for quality play during the team's playoff run.

In the SJHL's April 3 edition of the league's players of the week, three of the four awards given by the league went to Bomber players. Goalie Harmon Laser-Hume was named the league's goalie of the week, while Alex Von Sprecken was named defenceman of the week and Alexi Sylvestre was named rookie of the week.

On April 1, Laser-Hume was also named the SJHL's goalie of the month for March.

The Creston, B.C.-born goalie, coming off a season where he had a 28-11-2-2 record and four shutouts, has had a sterling run through the playoffs, playing each game for the Bombers and picking up seven wins as of April 4. Through 10 games, Laser-Hume has a .945 save percentage, a 1.70 goals-against-average and has given up just 18 goals. Laser-Hume also picked up a 40-save shutout against Humboldt in the teams' Game 3 at the Whitney Forum Tuesday night. The goalie has only lost one game in regulation time so far this playoffs.

Von Sprecken got the last laugh over his former team, the Estevan Bruins, winning over his hometown club in the Bombers' first round series. In the second round, Von Specken picked up four points in the Bombers' first two games, including a goal in Game 1 and three assists. Through the regular season, Von Sprecken, who has committed to play for the NAIT Ooks next season, had 26 points in 54 games and led the Bombers in penalty minutes with 158.

Sylvestre has led both the Bombers and all SJHL rookies in scoring so far this year, picking up nine points in 10 games, including the lone goal in the Bombers' 1-0 Game 3 win over Humboldt. The Chateauguay, Que. native also had five points in the Bombers' first round series against Estevan and has points in all three games against Humboldt. Sylvestre ended the regular season with 41 points in 55 games, including 21 goals.
