A pair of Bombers have received honours for their play over the past month.

Goalie Harmon Laser-Hume and defender Reece Richmond were each named the tops at their position by the SJHL Nov. 1. Richmond snagged the defenceman of the month honour, while Laser-Hume was named the league's top goalie for the month of October.

In 10 games patrolling the blueline for the Bombers in October, Richmond put up a goal and nine assists, including a stretch with five assists in four games and picking up an assist on his 20th birthday against Kindersley.

The Forrest, Man. native, third-year Bomber and younger brother of former Bomber Ryder Richmond is playing on the team's top defensive pair and powerplay unit, as well as playing occasional penalty kill time. So far this season, Richmond has 13 points - 12 of them assists - in 15 games with the Bombers.

Laser-Hume, who was picked up by the Bombers late in preseason from the Nipawin Hawks, dominated during October, playing eight games and picking up a 6-1-0-1 record, with two shutout wins. In eight outings, Laser-Hume gave up 19 goals on 245 shots - good enough for a .922 save percentage on the month and a 2.36 goals-against-average.

Since joining the Bombers, Laser-Hume has been one of the SJHL's best netminders by key metrics and leads the league with three shutouts.

Also nominated for monthly league awards were Battlefords' Holden Doell, who gathered the league's MVP for October after an impressive nine goals and 20 points in 10 games, and Yorkton's Dylan Ruptash, who put in seven goals and 10 points in 10 games en route to picking up the league's rookie of the month for October. Ruptash just ahead of Bomber Alexi Sylvestre's five goals and nine points for the lead in rookie scoring last month.
