The Flin Flon Bombers are hoping to add another name to the roster this season. Eighteen-year-old blueliner Brennen Cox is from The Pas and Bombers coach, and GM Mike Reagan couldn't be happier to sign him. "He's a good player now and we think he'll be a good player in the future," says Reagan, adding that he's just what the team is looking for. Cox will also be trying out for the Western Hockey League's Moose Jaw Warriors, and although Reagan wishes him well, he hopes to see him in a Bomber uniform this season. "We just want to wish the best of luck to him, in whatever direction he goes in," he says. Last season with the Norman Northstars, Cox collected 11 goals, 36 assists and 55 penalty minutes in 38 games. Reagan thinks the best option for the 6-ft., 175-lb. Cox is here in Flin Flon. It would be carrying on a tradition of sorts, as Cox's father, Brad, was also a Bomber. Reagan says it would be really great to have this talented player join their team. "I'm really excited about the whole situation," he says. This season the Bombers are looking to beef up their back end - and Cox would help them there for sure, says Reagan. "We're looking for big mobile guys, and that's what he is, so I think it would work out best for everyone," he says.
