Just shy of 100 golfers hit the links last weekend in support of the Flin Flon Bombers. The team's annual Golf Tournament got underway Friday afternoon and continued into the evening. It was perfect golfing weather as the sun was out, but not too hot. Golfers from the community joined the hockey players as they were able to reconnect with those that they knew and introduce them selves to the new faces. Along with playing one round at the Phantom Lake Golf Course, golfers also had a chance to win some prizes as they put their best put forward in the putting contest. Bomber head coach and GM Mike Reagan said through money collected in the golf tournament, the team will be able to purchase new track suits and practice gear. The Golf Tournament is the Flin Flon Bombers biggest fundraiser as all the money is collected for the team. Hopeful Bombers laced up the golf cleats to meet members of the community as well as possible team mates. In the past, Reagan has told The Reminder that the tournament is all about introducing the players to the community, the fans and the supporters.
