Dennis Kubat's two goal, five point effort helped the Flin Flon Bombers defeat the Yorkton Terriers 8-3 on the road, Saturday. An eight goal outburst, including four on the power play, in the first easily sealed their second win on the two-game trip after defeating the Melville Millionaires 4-3 the night before. "I thought I was seeing things there for a minute," said Bombers coach-GM Doug Stokes, of the start. "We were very efficient and for the first time all year, I don't know that we generated any more chances, but we had tremendous finish. Out of the eight goals, I can honestly say four to five, I don't care if Patrick Roy was in net, you weren't stopping them." Not only did new Bombers defenceman Kyle Lundale get an assist against the Millionaires in his debut, but he added another pair from Kubat's two man advantage goals. "We're really moving the puck well," Lundale said. "Everybody just seemed to click that weekend and so hopefully we can keep it going here this week." Aside from the offence coming alive, Stokes said the goaltending also played a key role as Mike Nichol was solid filling in for Calvin Bartel, who was pulled after the first. Nichol made 18 saves for his fifth win. Bartel redeemed himself with 35 saves on 38 shots against the Terriers, who have been owned by the Bombers this year. Bartel now has four wins on the year. While Lundale has produced in his first two games, Jordan Cherney wasted little time making an impact. He scored 22 seconds in against the Millionaires. Against the Terriers, he then added two assists matching his point. Stokes said the impact of the three has been huge in injecting enthusiasm. "They're excited about being in a new location, excited about a new opportunity," Stokes said. "Kyle Lundale was very vocal on the bench, very vocal in the room and that's something we really needed. He's obviously been a huge addition from the power play perspective." The Bombers' next two home games will be this Friday and Saturday against the Battlefords Stars.
