The Flin Flon Bombers have two more players for the upcoming season. The Bombers have acquired Mackenzie Braid and Justin Rasmussen from the Summerside Western Capitals in exchange for future considerations. Rasmussen comes to the Bombers as a 20-year-old centre, joining the team after a 36-point season with the Capitals. The Georgetown, Ont., native earned 12 goals and 24 assists in 35 games. Rasmussen also played two games with the Mississauga Steelheads last season. Prior to joining the Capitals, he dressed for the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. In between, Rasmussen played for the Mississauga Chargers. Braid also split his season last year as he dressed for the Sudbury Wolves for 19 games _ earning one goal and four assists _ while earning another three points for the Capitals in 12 games played. The blueliner defended the back end for the Wolves in 2011-12 as well as dressing for the Windsor Spitfires and the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. In 2010-11, Braid played for the Barrie Colts and picked up 12 points in 59 games _ five goals and seven assists. The two players will join returning and fresh faces at the Whitney Forum for the upcoming main camp. The main camp will be held over the Labour Day weekend with the SJHL's exhibition season to start shortly after. Doors to the Whitney Forum will be open during the camp for those wishing to see the up-and-coming players. Like years past, the camp will end with an inter-squad game.
