Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The Flin Flon Bombers and Humboldt Broncos will go head to head tonight for Game 1 of the North Final in Humboldt. Competing for the Bauer Conference title, the teams were evenly matched throughout the 2012-13 regular season and this should prove to be an interesting playoff series. Games 1 and 2 are in Humboldt tonight as the Bombers will welcome the Broncos for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Throughout the regular season, the Bombers and Broncos both had a 3-3 record against each other. In the Semifinal action, the Bombers defeated the Nipawin Hawks 4-1-1 to advance to the conference finals. The Broncos defeated the Melfort Mustangs 4-0-1. Leading into semifinal action, the Mustangs defeated the Battlefords North Stars 3-0 in their best-of-five Survivor Series. In the Sherwood Conference, the Yorkton Terriers and Melville Millionaires will fight for bragging rights and their chance to take on the winner of the Bauer Conference final. Leading into the weekend action, the Terriers defeated the Estevan Bruins 4-1 in their semifinals. The Millionaires and Notre Dame Hounds went all the way to Game 7 as the Mills came out on top 4-2-1. In the Survivor Series action, the Estevan Bruins and Kindersley Klippers played a best-of-five series with the Bruins coming out on top 3-1. Bauer Finals The Bombers and Broncos will host two games apiece for the first four games. Game 5 will go in Humboldt, if needed, next Friday. Still on an if-needed bases, the Bombers will host Game 6 next Saturday. Game 7 will be played on Tuesday, April 2 in Humboldt if the series so calls for.
