The Flin Flon Bombers look to end out the month of October with four more points as they are in Melville for a pair of games this weekend. The Bombers played nine games and earned as many points this past month Ð not including games from this weekend. The Maroon and White earned two regulation time wins and two shootout wins. Also picking up one point, the team earned a mark in an overtime loss to the Kindersley Klippers. A few games on the Bombers' southern swing hurt the team, said head coach and GM Mike Reagan. "We win those games and we (could have been looking) at the season from a different perspective than we are," said Reagan. As a month in whole, Reagan says it was "an up and down month." The Bombers look to November, after this weekend, where they will play 12 games Ð seven of which will take place in the Whitney Forum. The Bombers will get the ball rolling with the Yorkton Terriers, on November 6 and 7, with a double header weekend in Flin Flon. A short road series will have the Maroon and White in Humboldt the following Tuesday and then Melfort the next night. A quick one-game weekend with the Broncos in town will leave the Bombers plenty of practice time as they won't suit up again until November 16 as the La Ronge Ice Wolves will be in town. Once again, the Bombers hit the road for the weekend of November 20 as they are in La Ronge the Friday and then back to Humboldt the next night. A Sunday game against the Battlefords North Stars will wrap up the weekend swing for the team. The Nipawin Hawks will hit the road and make an appearance on November 23 to face the Bombers before the Maroon and White take on the Notre Dame Hounds on the following Friday and the North Stars on the Saturday. A busy month will leave the team practicing hard in hopes of ending the month above .500. To date, the Bombers sit with 15 points, in 13 games. Flin Flon earned seven wins and five losses Ð one of which was an overtime loss. Ending out the 2009-10 regular season and starting the 2010-11 season, the Bombers were at the top of the food chain in the Bauer Conference. Today, the Bombers sit in fourth place, of the Conference, and fifth place in the SJHL. For this coming month, Reagan has his expectations set. "I expect us to get better," said the coach. "We expect to have a better November." The Bombers set goals for not only each month, but for the season as well. Reagan says the team's goal this year is to "peak at the right time." Last season, according to Reagan, the team peeked too early. With a busy month ahead of them, Reagan says it's "going to be important that we get off to a good start."
