The Flin Flon Bombers lost their second road game in as many nights as the Melfort Mustangs doubled up on the Maroon and White 2-1 last Wednesday night. After losing the previous night 6-1 against the Humboldt Broncos, head coach and GM Mike Reagan said the team was going to have to get their focus together for Wednesday's game. The Mustangs earned their first marker of the night against PJ Musico in the first 20 minutes of play, on a power play. Taking the lead early on, the Mustangs built on it and scored their second goal of the game Ð in the second period. Down 2-0 at the end of the second period, Devin Stillar got the ball rolling for the Bombers with a power play goal late in the game. The Bombers were unable to tie things up and lost their second game in as many nights. Musico turned away 35 of the 37 shots that came his way, while the Bombers fired off 33 to the Mustangs. The Bombers spent some time in the penalty box, leaving Melfort with seven power play opportunities. Flin Flon themselves had five chances with the man advantage, capitalizing on one. The Bombers hit the Whitney Forum ice on Friday night as they tried to exact their revenge against the Humboldt Broncos. As the game was played after The Reminder went to press, please see Wednesday's paper for further details.
