Bombers down Terriers

The Flin Flon Bombers scored twice on the power play and twice shorthanded Wednesday to double up on the Yorkton Terriers. The 6-3 win snapped a 10-game losing skid for Flin Flon at Farrell Agencies Arena in Yorkton.

Alex Smith had a pair of goals for the Bombers, including the game winner in the second period. Dean Allison had a goal and two assists. Also scoring for Flin Flon were Chris Rauckman, Parker Evans-Campbell and Tyson Empey.
Simon Hofley made 30 saves in net for the Bombers.
With the win, the Bombers moved into a tie with the Melfort Mustangs for first place in the Sherwood Division.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Bombers announced that 20-year-old defenceman Tyler Bell had joined the team after being released by the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League.
Bell brings 196 games of WHL experience, and was in the line-up on Wednesday.
