The Flin Flon Bombers are continuing their search for an assistant coach. The organization has said goodbye to Michael George as he accepted a position with the Drayton Valley Thunder as as associate coach. The Maroon and White continue to look for a coach to fill the position as head coach and GM Mike Reagan prepares for the 2013-14 season. The Bombers will host their annual main camp in August as they gear up to start the season. Following the team's exhibition season, the Bombers will hit the road for their first game of the regular season against the Melfort Mustangs. The Bombers will host their home opener on Sept. 21 as the Mustangs will be back for revenge from last year. The Bombers started things off right last season as they began an impressive winning streak on home ice with a win over the Mustangs. The Bombers aren't the only team in the SJHL looking for an assistant coach, as the La Ronge Ice Wolves are in the same boat. The Kindersley Klippers, in the Sherwood Conference, have had better luck as they have filled their vacant athletic therapist position. Chantelle Touchette had vacated the post and has now been replaced by Emily Thiessen of Ontario.
