The Bombers hope a two-time SJHL champion can help bring the Canalta Cup to Flin Flon this spring.

Tuesday’s trade deadline saw the Bombers acquire forward Teal Sobkowicz (7G, 12P in 21GP) from Melville. He was a member of the 2015 and 2016 league champion Melfort Mustangs. In 2014, he won a Telus Cup with the Prince Albert Mintos.

“He’s a winner and there is something to be said about character,” said Bombers head coach and GM Mike Reagan.

Flin Flon also acquired forward Daylan Marchi (4G, 10P in 31 GP) from the AJHL along with a 2017 third round draft pick.

The Bombers gave up forward Dondre Watson (17G, 26P in 36 GP), goaltending prospect Matt Lenz, a 2017 first round pick and a player development fee.

The Reminder will have much more on the Bombers’ deadline day moves in our Friday print edition.
