The Flin Flon Bombers enter the weekend trailing both the Melfort Mustangs and Battlefords North Stars by 10 points for the final playoff spot in the ITECH Conference. On Tuesday night, the Bombers got third period goals from Ryan Cosgrove and Andrew Leslie, both firsts on the season, to come from behind and tien the Nipawin Hawks 4-4. Andrew Skrabek had the other two Flin Flon goals, while Tyler Beachell helped out with two assists. In the absence of captain Stewart Sjoberg, Skrabek wore the 'C' on his jersey. Dale Pettit had to make 46 saves in his second start with the Bombers, as Flin Flon was out shot 50-42. A relatively small crowd was on hand to watch the game, somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 fans. The Bombers have tonight off and will host the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Saturday night. This will be the Ice Wolves' second visit to the Whitney Forum this season, and their first since the opening day which was a 7-3 loss for the Bombers. In their two visits to La Ronge earlier this season Flin Flon lost 4-1 and 6-3. Tomorrow's game will be Donovan Hall's first game against his old team since being traded a couple weeks ago. The Bombers have been enjoying a seven-game home stand. After Saturday's game, they will host Yorkton on Tuesday before heading on the road for a three-game northern road swing.
