The Flin Flon Bombers are one win away from a perfect preseason.

The team won their third straight game with a convincing 6-1 win over the MJHL’s OCN Blizzard on Tuesday.

While both teams iced mostly rookies, returning players Brandon Lesko and Nick Shumlanski led the Bombers. Lesko scored two goals and an assist, while Shumlanski tallied two assists.

Keegan Matthew, Nate Hooper, Mason Fischer and Brett Pickler also scored for the Bombers.

The two teams combined for 28 penalties, and three Bombers were ejected for fighting.

“As a whole, we played really well defensively,” said Bombers head coach and general manager Mike Reagan.

The Bombers finish the preseason with another game against the Blizzard on Friday at the Whitney Forum. Reagan says more veteran players will be in the lineup.

The Bombers open the regular season on Sept. 16.
