Flin Flon Bombers blueliner Tyler Bell has been named the IBAS SJHL Defenceman of the Month of January.
Bell was also named Defenceman of the Week for the period ended
Feb. 1.
Bell, 20, had a productive week to close out January as the Bombers hit the road for four games in five nights starting in Nipawin.
Bell had five points (2G, 3A) in the four games starting with two (1G, 1A) against the Hawks.
He followed that up with a goal the next night against the Estevan Bruins and had two assists the next against the Weyburn Red Wings.
This was a cap on the month of January, which saw the veteran of almost 200 WHL games score 12 points (6G, 6A) in 12 games.
Heading into Wednesday’s action Bell had 17 points (9G, 8A) and 74 penalty minutes in 32 games.
