Hopeful and future Flin Flon Bombers will hit the ice this weekend for Main Camp after a week-long conditioning camp. The athletes will show off their potential and skill to the Bomber coaching staff in hopes of a spot on the team. This weekend, the players will compete against each other in practice before the traditional inter-squad Maroon and White game. Following the Main Camp, the Bombers will take on Swan River in their first preseason game of the 2010-11 season. Prior to Main Camp, the athletes participated in the annual Golf Tournament last weekend and then worked out, as a team, this week. The athletes started their days with a morning run, afternoon dry land training and then an on-ice practice in the evening. Head coach and GM Mike Reagan said that the conditioning camp gives the coaching staff a chance to see where the players are at physically.
