Bomber Game Report

Flin Flon got back in the win column Friday night, stacking up six goals on the Weyburn Red Wings and taking a 6-3 victory.

While little offence took place in the first, Alexi Sylvestre would open the scoring in the last minute of the period, giving Flin Flon a 1-0 lead to walk off the first period with.

Jacob Vockler would extend the lead in the second period, deking Red Wings goalie Dazza Mitchell out of his jock strap while the Bombers were shorthanded and firing it over Mitchell's shoulder.

Weyburn's offence wud wake up late in the second, with Ty Mason scoring Weyburn's first of the game, but the Bombers would answer back with two quick goals of their own, both by newcomer Wyatt Cook. Matteo Speranza would get the Wings back on the board late in the second, making it 4-2 Bombers at the break.

Flin Flon would get into penalty trouble in the third period, taking four of the game's seven penalties during the frame, but only one Red Wing, Jakob Kalin, would make good with the man advantage. Cory King would snipe a shot past Mitchell to give the Bombers a bigger lead with two minutes to go, then Cole Duperreault put home an empty netter in the dying seconds to clinch the W.

Harmon Laser-Hume, making his third start of the Bombers' four-games-in-five-nights southern swing, made 26 saves, while Mitchell made 29 in a losing cause.

The Bombers will end their road trip with a game against Notre Dame Saturday night in Wilcox.
