Bomber Game Report

The Bombers' four-games-in-five-nights road trip ended on a sour note Saturday night, with Flin Flon taking a 4-1 L at the paws of the Notre Dame Hounds.

Notre Dame came out to a lead late in the first with two goals in the final minutes - first, one by newly acquired former Kindersley Klipper Carson Baylis, then one with only six seconds in the period from Jaryd Sych.

Sych would score another goal in the second, bringing the Hounds to a 3-0 lead, followed by a second goal by Baylis early in the third. Liam Bridger would get a goal midway through the third to get the Bombers on the board, putting a powerplay marker past Hounds netminder Tucker Inabinet, but that's all the offence the Bombers would muster.

Inabinet made 31 saves for the win, while Bomber goalie Kenneth Marquart stopped 42 pucks in a busy night in the Bomber net.

Heading back north, the Bombers will return with a 2-2 record and four points at the end of their road swing, picking up big wins against Melville and Weyburn and losing both against the Hounds and Estevan. The Bombers scored 20 goals in those four games, giving up 17.

The Bombers will have the week off from game action until Oct. 21, when the Bombers will have a chance at revenge against the Hounds at the Whitney Forum. The Melville Millionaires will come to town for a weekend set the next week, playing Oct. 28-29.
