It was a week of good news for the Flin Flon Bombers.
On Monday, the Bombers found themselves in second place in the SJHL Power Rankings, behind only the undefeated Notre Dame Hounds.
Later that same day, the Bombers cracked the CJAHL Top 20, in 15th spot out of 129 teams Canada-wide.
Then on Tuesday, centre Alex Smith was named the SJHL player of the week with five points in two games. It was the second Player of the Week nod for the Bombers in two weeks, as Chris Rauckman was the first winner this season.
On Wednesday, the team learned that Lance Yaremchuk had been reassigned to them by the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League.
The 1996-born forward was a big part of the Telus Cup-winning Prince Albert Mintos last season, with 31 points in 20 games in the regular season and 21 points in 19 games in the playoffs.
Yaremchuk also has 18 games of WHL experience and suited up for one game for the Bombers last year. He is expected to be in the lineup next week.
