Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Flin Flon Bomber winger Brett Boehm tops the SJHL in the Scouting Preliminary Rankings released by the NHL. Boehm was the lone SJHL player and one of 27 players identified in the rankings. NHL Central Scouting has compiled the list months ahead of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, which will be held next June in New Jersey. On Tuesday, the CJHL released its league preliminary rankings for the top levels of North American junior hockey and Europe. Boehm, a right-winger who stands 6' tall and weighs in at 160 lbs., joins 26 other athletes who are playing across the country. The Martensville, Sask., native is a fourth, fifth or sixth round candidate for the NHL draft, as he was identified in the C Rating group. Rankings Other than Boehm, the rankings had players from the AJHL (six skaters), BCHL (12 skaters and two goalies), MJHL (one skater), OJHL (four skaters), and the CCHL (one skater). 'While the lists certainly offer a good look into which players could be chosen in the early rounds, NHL Central Scouting director Dan Marr is quick to note that the rankings are subject to refinement by the time the organization releases its composite mid-term report in January, 2013,' read a CJHL media release.
