Simon Desrosiers is the latest addition to the Flin Flon Bombers lineup.
The blueliner comes to the Bombers from the MJHL’s Portage Terriers in exchange for future considerations.
The 6’1”, 195-lb. defenceman has earned 10 points this season with three goals and seven assists.
Desrosiers, born in 1994, split last season between the Fort Frances Lakers and the Abitibi Eskimos of the NOJHL.
Also coming from the Eskimos is newcomer Peter Poulin-Roy.
The Bombers said goodbye to Landon Hiebert and hello to Poulin-Roy last month.
Poulin-Roy, a Quebec native, played three seasons with the Sudbury Nickle Capital Wolves when the team earned a trip to the Telus Cup.
Poulin-Roy earned 42 points – 16 goals and 26 assists – in 35 games last season.
Cole McCaig has packed his bags as he was traded to the MJHL’s Waywayseecappo Wolverines for future considerations.
McCaig had picked up four points with the Bombers – two goals and two assists – in 21 games this season.
In his career with the Bombers, McCaig racked up 30 points – 12 goals and 18 assists – in 123 games.
Bombers head coach and GM Mike Reagan then used the future considerations from the McCaig trade to obtain forward Sam Williams from the Drumheller Dragons.
The 1993-born Williams returns to the SJHL with the Bombers.
He previously dressed for the Notre Dame Hounds and earned 12 points in 15 games.
In total, Williams earned 59 points in 85 games with the Hounds before being traded to Drumheller.
The Bombers hosted the Melville Millionaires Friday night and then the Estevan Bruins the next night. See Wednesday’s Reminder for further coverage.
