There was an unusual sight in Creighton this past Sunday Ð a bike that held 30 people moving around town. That's right, the Heart & Stroke Big Bike was in town. This year, to raise money and awareness for the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Nikki Rosenberger brought in the Bike Bike. This year, we had to fight with the sand flies and road construction instead of wondering if it would rain. It turned out to be a great day; the sun shined and we had 40-50 people show up to ride on the bike, cheer family members on and raise money. All while having a great time. With door prizes, which were donated by local businesses, and prizes from the Heart & Stroke Foundation given out, everyone walked away with something to remember the day by. In total, we raised $4,500 for the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan. I would like to take this time to thank everyone who helped out. The businesses that donated, the people that helped out the day of the event and the many people that helped raise money for this great Foundation. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by heart disease. Thank you all for supporting this cause. With such great comments and smiling faces, I hope to bring the Big Bike back next year and raise even more money. Hope to see you all out there next year.
