Kelly Carrington Staff Writer One of Flin Flon's favourite rivals will keep their bench boss for another five years as the La Ronge Ice Wolves continue to be led by Bob Beatty. The club announced Beatty's contract extension this past Thursday. Already with the organization for seven years, Beatty has been head coach since 2004. Winning the SJHL championship the past two years, Beatty earned a record of 182-161-12-25. As well, Beatty was named the SJHL coach of the year four times Ð including this past season. "We are obviously very happy to have Bob sign on for an additional five years," Ice Wolves President Terry Helary was quoted as saying by the SJHL. "It shows the La Ronge Ice Wolves are a solid franchise in the SJHL and that our fans can take comfort in knowing we have the best Coach and GM in the business." The Ice Wolves and Bombers will match up again this fall in the 2011-12 season.8/6/11
