Tyler Beachell scored twice for the Flin Flon Bombers, including one in the final minute of the third period to earn a 4-4 tie with the Battlefords North Stars on Tuesday night. The Stars held leads of 3-1 and 4-3, but could not hold on for the victory. Defenceman Rylan Zakreski helped out offensively with his third goal of the season at 3:16 of the first period, assisted by Andrew Skrabek. Jared Keller tied the game on a power-play at 15:33. In the second period, a power-play goal by Riley Lang at 6:04 and an even-strength goal by Michael George at 10:38 made it 3-1 for the North Stars. Tyler Beachell's first goal of the game at 15:29 on a power-play brought the Bombers within one goal. Andrew Skrabek and Mike Natale assisted. The goal came on a five-minute advantage after Shane Cusack was ejected for kneeing Richard Dupre. In the third period, Carter Chomyn's first goal of the season tied the game at 1:53, but Darryl Lambert gave the North Stars the lead with a goal at 12:09. Chomyn's goal was assisted by Stewart Sjoberg and Clayton Geiger. Beachell scored his second goal of the game with just 20 seconds left on the clock in the third period. Zakreski and David Holinaty helped out with the assists. Shots on net were 42-23 in favour of the North Stars, who also scored two power-play goals on five chances. The Bombers had one power-play goal on five opportunities. Francois Laverdiere made 38 saves, while Guillame Miszczak stopped 19 shots. The Bombers and North Stars battled again last night. Results were unavailable at press time. In the only other game on Tuesday night, the Melfort Mustangs picked up another two points, beating the Kindersley Klippers 3-2 in overtime. Taylor Watt scored twice for the Mustangs, including the overtime winner at 1:10. It was Kyle Holmes' first game with the Kindersley Klippers.
