In what turned out to be Flin Flon's toughest game, the Bombers opened with a 4-2 lead after the first period on goals by Wes Gawiak, Owen Woloshyn, Lyle Leclair and Corey Dupre. Assists went to Landon Row with two, Owen Woloshyn, Corey Dupre and Aaron Bauman each with one. In the second period, the Bombers appeared to fall asleep and allowed Vibank to quickly tie the game. See 'Natural' P.# Con't from P.# In the third period the Bombers outscored Vibank 2-1 as Ryan Fox secured the win for the Bombers with two unassisted goals, giving him a natural hat trick, and the Bombers winning 8-5. The win put the Bombers into the A side final against the Avonlea Thunder. Both teams appeared to start rather tentatively, and the Bombers took a 2-1 lead into the dressing room after the first period, on goals by Owen Woloshyn, assisted by Landon Row, and Ryan Fox assisted by Jordan Crone and Landon Row. In the second period, the Bombers came to life and basically shored up the win by outscoring their opponents 7-1, including five goals in a span of less than five minutes. The Bantam 'AA' Bombers played an excellent weekend of hockey, and the coaches and parents and fans watching the games were truly appreciative of their efforts. It should be noted that the boys showed a lot of stamina, and superior conditioning, which game them a distinct advantage over their rivals in the tournament. The boys were very well behaved this weekend as attested to by accolades received from hotel and restaurant staff as well as others who witnessed the boys' off-ice demeanour. The Flin Flon Bantam 'AA' Bombers' next action will be two exhibition games in Swan River against the Swan River Bantam 'AA' and the Dauphin Bantam 'AA' this coming Saturday. They will then travel to Prince Albert on December 10, 11 and 12 to participate in the annual 24-team tournament being played there.
