A pair of former SJHLers have signed pro contracts for the upcoming season with the Central Hockey League's Austin Ice Bats. Forward Shaun Aebig, a four year veteran of the Kindersley Klippers, and Jeff Neufeld, a three year performer with the Humboldt Broncos, are becoming teammates. The 22 year-old Aebig played with the Klippers as recently as the 2002-03 season. He scored 15 goals and 49 assists in 60 games. For his career, he had 214 points in 217 games. Neufeld has just finished his CIS career with the Lethbridge Pronghorns. He scored three goals and eight assists in 19 games this season. He had 156-career points in 127-games. With the Broncos, Neufeld scored 16 goals and 35 assists in 53 games during the 1998-99 campaign.
