When the bidding ended at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Saskatchewan Roughrider kicker Paul McCallum's kicking shoes and helmet raised more than $3,000 to help children both in Saskatchewan and in areas affected by the recent tsunami in South Asia. The successful bidder from Quebec paid $3,050 for the shoes, helmet and autographed photo of Roger Aldag and Bob Poley. The money will be split evenly between McCallum's regular charity, KidSport Saskatchewan, and the Red Cross Asia Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund. The auction, which ran on eBay from January 6 to January 16, generated great interest across Canada, with a total of 74 bids. There were more than 10,000 visits to the site over the 10-day period.
