On the weekend of December 11 and 12 our local Johnny's Atom AA Bombers travelled to Swan River. Competing in the annual tournament was Swan River, Dauphin, Roblin/Grand Plains, The Pas and Flin Flon. The local squad's first game saw them verse Roblin/Grand Plains. Awesome goaltending by Jeff Stallard and Edward Gardiner led the boys to a 12-4 win. Scoring by Brendan Barron, Dillan McCombie (4), Seth Fernandes, Zach Garrett (3), Garrett Hatherly (2) and Nathan Johnson. The second game of the day brought the AA Bombers against Dauphin. In a hard fought battle the Flin Flon AA's came out on top 5-3. Scoring by Nathan Johnson (2), Dillan McCombie, Brandon Eikel, and Evan Dorion. Jeff Stallard was in the net for the win. The win gave the Flin Flon AA's first place and a spot in the final. In the final, Flin Flon once again came up against the Dauphin Kings. The Kings got to the final by beating The Pas in the two three game earlier in the morning. This would be the second final the two teams met in, in a month. When the final buzzer rang the scoreboard read 4-3 for the Kings. Scoring for the Bombers was done by Dillan McCombie (2) and Nathan Johnson. Jeff Stallard was in goal. Next tournament action for the Atom AA Bombers is January 14, 15 and 16 here in Flin Flon.
